NRJ Paris is the new television and radio production centre of the French multimedia group NRJ.
Inaugurated on 20 March 2008, NRJ Paris is a channel that deals with topics of general interest aimed at a multicultural audience.
Programme contents focus on news, special features on topical themes and entertainment.
To attract a potential audience of 10–12 million viewers, NRJ PARIS has assembled a team of professionals, giving them the most advanced production and broadcasting equipment available, and working together with the group’s other channels, NRJ12 and NRJ HITS.
In its new studios, NRJ Paris has installed a lighting system based totally on LED’s, which offer several advantages compared to conventional light sources, including high luminous yield, low power consumption, long duration and minimum maintenance.
Other exclusive characteristics of the systems installed, like the high quality of RGB colour generation, precise control over colour temperature and the total absence of flicker, are fundamental elements for correct television shooting.
The project and installation director was Jean-Pierre Joubert.
These are the products used:
60 MR16 WHITE LED lamps (5500°K);
110 MR16 RGB lamps;
26 MR16 FULL COLOUR lamps;
6 HELIOS FULL COLOUR LED projectors;
5 Z4 LED controllers (for a total of 20 independent lines) to pilot and power the entire system.
The flexibility of installation of the MR16 and HELIOS systems makes it possible to obtain different types of lighting inside the various sets:
uniform flush lighting of a large background wall (provided by a series of MR16 WHITE set into the ceiling);
general ambient lighting (MR16 RGB’s mounted in dedicated DTS par cans);
directional lights to light NRJ staff and programme guests (MR16 FULL COLOUR’s and HELIOS FULL COLOUR’s that can be pointed as needed).
